I’m Paula Parore — singer, actor, storyteller and one half of His & Hers Media, alongside my husband, Clay.
Entertainment has been a huge part of my life. From appearing on The Voice Australia as part of Team Seal to performing on some of Australia’s biggest stages, I’ve experienced this incredible industry from both sides of the curtain.
My musical theatre credits include Motormouth Maybelle in Hairspray, Asaka in Once on This Island, Sylvia in All Shook Up, Grizabella in Cats and Oz in We Will Rock You, where I also performed as Killer Queen for select performances.
I’ve performed at Crown Theatre, His Majesty’s Theatre and Sydney’s Hayes Theatre, appeared at the Perth and Melbourne Fringe Festivals, and sung the New Zealand national anthem at international All Blacks and Wallabies matches.
I’ve also performed at Telethon and major sporting events across Australia.
My passion for performing has taken me to New York for training at the Stella Adler Studio, Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute and American Academy of Dramatic Arts.
As a proud Māori wāhine, storytelling, music and connection are deeply important to me. I love how a performance can make you laugh, cry or feel something you weren’t expecting.
Clay and I have spent years performing, travelling, exploring restaurants and enjoying entertainment together. His & Hers Media brings those experiences together.
I bring my experience as a performer, my love of storytelling and, of course, my opinions! Clay brings his own perspective, and together we offer two different takes on the same experience.
Because entertainment isn’t just about what happens on stage. It’s about how it makes you feel long after the curtain falls.
